Cancer fighting tea saves countless lives

(NaturalHealth365) In the 1920′s, there lived a Canadian nurse called Rene Caisse who lived in Northern Ontario. Her passion was helping to ease the suffering of humanity – not the pursuit of riches. She discovered that a few simple herbs that were brewed as a tea were regressing and healing cancer. She named the tea Essiac, which is her surname spelled backwards.

The success of Essiac tea

The popularity of the tea grew because of all the success she was having in sharing this brewed tea. She treated 300-600 cancer patients per week for 8.5 years with successful results. Plus, the majority of her patients that went to her clinic were desperate and sent home to die after all other medical and surgical attempts had failed.

Eight medical doctors reviewed and oversaw hundreds of the cancer patients that recovered as a result of drinking this tea. They each wrote an affidavit to that effect to help support the work that she was doing.

Conventional medicine does NOT like natural remedies for cancer

Rene was continually harassed and threatened with jail time by the medical establishment, which eventually caused her to go into seclusion. To the end, Rene said, “Chemotherapy should be a criminal offense. Essiac Tea is harmless.”

Dr. Frederick Banting, the co-discoverer of insulin, tested Essiac tea and stated, “Essiac must actuate the pancreatic gland into normal functioning.” We now know the important role of pancreatic enzymes for the recovery of cancer. If you want to learn more about the value of pancreatic enzymes – look up the work of Nicholas Gonzalez, M.D.

The 4 herbal ingredients in Essiac Tea are Burdock Root, Sheep Sorrel, Slippery Elm and Turkey Rhubarb Root.

1. Burdock Root helps to stimulate the immune system and reduces free radicals. It is an excellent blood purifier by supporting liver and kidney detoxification. In fact, Japanese studies have indicated that Burdock Root has anti-mutagenic and anti-cancer properties

2. Sheep Sorrel has also been studied extensively in laboratories. Sheep sorrel is anti-parasitic, anti-viral, anti-bacterial and has regressed tumors in laboratory animals. It is important to note that the whole plant must be used, including the roots of the plant.

3. The inner bark of Slippery elm supports the digestive and urinary systems. It also helps to reduce inflammation.

4. Turkey Rhubarb root contains a plant chemical called emodin, which can have a laxative affect. Emodin also has anti-cancer properties by stimulating the production of certain enzymes.

Since there are several companies that market and sell Essiac Tea make sure that you are getting a product that is using the original formula. By combining the power of these 4 herbs, Rene Caisse was able to save the lives of thousands of patients. By the way, because of its powerful healing properties – Essiac Tea is part of my protocol for “The 7 Essentials for Healing and Preventing Breast Cancer…Naturally”.

Great article doctor! You’re SO right about conventional medicine. But it’s all about WHY they don’t like it… Money!
Can’t make money from well people.
    Thanks!

Wow! Thank you so much for this article! This is very helpful.

I have been giving Essiac tea to my cat for about a year now. She has oral cancer, and she has lived so much longer than expected. I have to admit, I tried it, thinking it could be a good preventive measure, but the taste is very, very difficult to take. I couldn’t handle it :(

  • thp

This is also called Guardian Spirit tea. I havnt tried it, but good to know. Thanks.

Essiac Tea can and does work wonders. It will not have a bad taste if it is made properly and from herbs that are cut and sifted. In other words you can see the pieces of herbs, not just powder. When Essiac comes in powdered form it does have a muddy taste. When herbs are ground up into a powder they oxidize more quickly and lose potency. Make sure your tea is made from organic herbs.

Great article! This is the reason why learning to make medicinal teas yourself is a great idea. The herbs in Essiac are easy to find in health food stores and in fields and forest. Also, even one of these herbs can be extremely helpful against cancer, you don’t need them all! Lisa from thegoodwitch.ca Also re the comment about the taste, when your body experiences the benefits of ‘bad’ tasting herbs, you will begin to acquire a taste for them (the reason the cat is still drinking Essiac tea) At our home we love the taste of Burdock. It grows wild here and we harvest first year roots in the fall, peel, slice, chop small and dry them for winter use. Burdock is an all around excellent blood cleanser and carries very powerful anti cancer properties – the reason it is so useful against cancer! It’s great against acne too! Lisa

I laughed at my grandfather. I laughed at his pine-bark teas, his leather pouches filled with dried up weeds, which he steamed and boiled and offered to the unwell. His sons laughed too, which is why he chose me his eldest grandson to remember the cures of the ancients. I was a bad kiyucksuit–I laughed. You have no idea of the pain that fills my heart when I see a cure, millenia old, attributed to Ms. or Mrs. Caisse. I do applaud her, she took the time not to laugh, but to listen. Thank you for passing these remedies on and hopefully I will come to be the half-breed who listens.

I remember when she made headlines, at least in Michigan and I wrote the information down. I also have a friend that has taken it for years to keep his prostate cancer at bay, has a woman that makes it for him, and I made it for my husband, but he was to far gone to save. I have a question: Is the Protecell being sold on WebND.com the same formula as Essiac tea. I also have a friend that took that for colon cancer, no other treatment, she is fine. Would love an answer, also sent a statement about AMD. Thank you, Gyla Demetrak

  • Tom

It worked on me. Prostate fixed.

Wow, I’ve seen it for sale but, never investigated it. My brother just had his bladder removed 2 weeks ago, lost a kidney and was told the cancer spread to his bowels. He’s told them “No radiation and no chemo!”. They agree now it wouldn’t help anyway. Now he has acid blood which the docs have somewhat fixed with some drug. He, on his own, was trying the Budwig diet, lemons, baking soda and hydrogen pyroxide. He feels he may not have been regimented enough to cure his cancer – but – he may have stalled it somewhat. The docs have sent him home to die. I’m sending him this article and I hope he will give Essiac a try! (To Buffy)

Dear Wendy, the best thing your brother can try right now in his condition is POLY-MVA. I think Essiac Tea and several other things (which have been suppressed) do work against cancer. However, my first choice would be POLY-MVA. I have studied cancer and its natural treatments for several years now (since my husband died in 2000). Go to http://www.betterlivingsite.com and listen to the audios on the front page. They are each an hour long. I hope that you can get them without any problem. If not, please email me at [email protected]

The medical profession and the pharmaceutical companies scorn and belittle every natural cure for cancer; however, please tell me the success rates of chemo and radiation. It is practically zilch! How can people be so brainwashed!
    Judy

Wendy, go to http://www.polymva.com to learn more about POLY-MVA and where to get it.

Than you for the information, I been looking for this but didn’t know the name. Thanks again.

Excellent article, thank you for sharing! Essiac is a great all-around cleansing & healing tea for many other health issues, as well. I’ve been using & recommending the tea since I learned about it in the early 90′s. Prevention & pro-active natural health is the key…please don’t wait to make positive healthy changes in your lifestyle! I also give this tea, & wheat grass juice, to my dog. I want him to live a long time, too! :)

We need to make our voices heard, & work together to ensure our continued access to all natural healing, & holistic health care modalities. It is our right!!!

  • Kim

This is very encouraging and NOT surprising. God created all the plants of the earth with different properties. Hundreds have healing properties that have been known for centuries. Our country, USA, has made most medical advances but has the sickest population. Let’s get back to basics… Essential oils distilled from living plants oxygenate our blood and are the only substance known to man that virus cannot mutate against. I have eliminated 6 prescription drugs from my life and replaced with essential oils to lower cholesterol, balance blood sugar, eliminate allergies, balance hormones and eliminate Fibromyalgia pain. All natural withOUT side effects. I had a hard time believing it myself but its been 6 months and NO Doctors needed at my house EXCEPT for bloodwork. Check out youngliving.com. Frankincense is now a powerhouse in cancer treatment.

  • CARROL

LOVE this tea comes in (100) KOSHER caps by Nature’s Sunshine. We sell a lot of it, E-TEA can be taken in the cap or pulled apart to make the tea.. I like the caps..

  • Barb Ferguson

I used Essiac tea after lung cancer surgery & radiation with a prognosis of 3-5 years survival in 1994. Also lots of blueberries, oranges (with rind) cranberries, black and green teas, sweet potatoes etc.

  • Ann

I believe a few companies also have it in capsule form.

  • Cyd Smythe

For nausea (you won’t have it ) If you are doing Chemo therapy, drink about 4 cups of Pau de Arco tea ( you can get it in most grocery stores ),prior to your treatment. In 1994 I had a co-worker whose Husband was so nauseous from his Chemo he couldn’t eat or go for walks ,but after they heard of drinking the tea before his treatments they were able to go out for lunch & go for a walk. They had about a 2 hour drive to where his therapy treatments were.
Interestingly I have only once seen this mentioned once anywhere for Chemo nausea, but she swore by it !!
Also another person I worked with who had survived his Cancer will not touch any SUGAR , he says he learned Cancer cells thrive on sugar. He is a Chemical Engineer , BTW.

  • Dr. V

Thank you for all the positive comments about the article. It’s great to see the growing awareness about healing cancer naturally.

  • Dr. V

    HI Wendy,
Sorry to hear about your brother. He may also want to add enzymes and blood root to his protocol.Enzymes weaken the fibrin layer on the cancer cell wall and the Blood root kills the cancer cells, without harming the healthy cells.
Feel free to contact me if you would like more information.

Does anyone have a recipe for making this tea at home, or are there any companies that sell their herbs in a tin for home brewing? I would love to get some so we can drink daily.
    Thank you,
    Kim

  • Kathryn Walker

    Kim,

Here is a web site of a ND who has the Essiac Tea. She also sells her own 4-herb tea, which is the same but less expensive. Her site also includes, 4-herb concentrate, capsules and testimonials. http://www.herbalhealer.com/
    Enjoy her site.

  • Linda DeLaura

To Kim re: essiac tea. You can Google the recipe and make it yourself. There are several books also that you can most likely find on Amazon.com that will have the recipe and websites for the herbs? Good luck!

  • elle hill
