New Research: Fluoridated water increases ADHD rates

child drinking bottled water(NaturalHealth365) More than four out of five of America’s largest cities add fluoride to municipal water sources, a trend that has been growing since Grand Rapids, Michigan became the first to do it in 1945. For decades, scientists have been enamored with the association between fluoridated water and a decreased rate of tooth decay among the communities that drink it.  But, this junk science is merely a ploy to sell off industrial waste and hide the health hazards.

Of course, it didn’t take long before the government stepped in, recommending that water sources be supplemented with fluoride for the sake of ‘public health’.  In reality, it should come as no surprise that government ‘health’ agencies are simply focused on supporting corporate agendas – not preserving public health.

Proof: Fluoride in drinking water lowers IQ

Unfortunately, new studies are showing harmful links between fluoride in drinking water and mental health. In 2013, for example, Harvard University published a report showing that children in areas with highly fluoridated water have significantly lower IQ scores than children who do not.

Now, a new study from York University in Toronto is revealing a new association between water fluoridation and children – ADHD.

What is the link between fluoride and learning disorders?

Knowing that children in low socioeconomic areas have an increased risk of learning disorders, researchers made a point to specifically review the health of children in affluent areas. What they found was shocking: areas with heavily fluoridated water and low poverty rates also had some of the highest rates of ADHD. For example, approximately 1 in 8 children in Delaware – a state where fluoride in drinking water is prevalent – are diagnosed with ADHD despite low poverty rates.

The evidence does not stop there. Information from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) shows that the number of children diagnosed with ADHD has risen from 7 percent to 11 percent since 1992. In that same period of time, public water fluoridation has increased, raising the percentage of children exposed to high fluoride levels from 56 percent to an all-time high of 67 percent.

Exposing the neurotoxicity of fluoride in drinking water

Though more research is necessary to determine why fluoride affects mental health, researchers already know that the element is capable of disrupting hormone levels within the body. It interferes with the body’s iodine production, which in turn affects the thyroid gland.

Since the thyroid gland plays a major role in hormone production and regulation, many scientists believe that water fluoridation could also be linked to a host of other mental and physical health disorders, such as obesity and depression.

It has long been suspected that many of the causes of illness and mental health disorders in the U.S. are in the foods we eat. Unfortunately, nearly every food produced in America has been processed or modified in some way – including public water sources.

Fluoride is a drug that is literally being ‘forced’ upon the population in large dosages. Despite years of data revealing its dangers, the government continues to refer to fluoride as ‘safe and effective’ for the general public.

We, as a society, need to stand up and protect our rights. Forced medical treatments like, fluoridated water and mandatory vaccines are unacceptable in a country where freedom is supposed to be respected.

Why should you tell your family and friends about the dangers of fluoride?  In the words of Thomas Jefferson:

Whenever the people are well-informed, they can be trusted with their own government.
