happy woman at sunrise(NaturalHealth365) Are you afraid of flying, public speaking or heights? Or, maybe you’re one of those people that fear rejection or intimate relationships. Often times, eating organic food and taking nutritional supplements will not resolve a chronic state of fear or anxiety due to past traumatic situations. But, thankfully, there is a simple, fast and effective way to resolve emotional issues.

You can eliminate your fears fast! I’m curious, have you ever tried emotional freedom techniques (EFT) or “tapping”? This healing tool is a set of techniques which utilize the body’s energy meridian points. Basically, you can stimulate these meridians by tapping on them with your fingertips and literally ignite your own inner healing power. On the next NaturalNews Talk Hour, we’ll guide you through the process.

What is the science behind ‘tapping’?

I know what you’re thinking … ‘how can tapping get rid of my fears’? Like most of the ancient healing arts, conventionally-trained scientists and physicians roll their collective eyes at this concept – despite the overwhelming clinical evidence coming from holistic practitioners and people who have used EFT. In reality, over the past several years, there is a growing body of scientific evidence to suggest that seemingly ‘incurable’ emotional issues can be resolved with tapping.

Over the past 10 years, research done at Harvard Medical School reveal that the brain’s stress and fear response – controlled by an almond-shaped part of the brain, called the amygdala – could be reduced by stimulating the meridian points used in acupuncture, acupressure, and of course, tapping techniques.

Dawson Church, Ph.D. and his team performed a randomized controlled trial to study how an hour-long tapping session would impact the stress levels of 83 subjects. By measuring cortisol (stress hormone) levels, they found the average level of cortisol was reduced by 24% and a nearly 50% reduction in some subjects. By comparison, there was no significant reduction in cortisol levels for those participating in traditional ‘talk therapy’.

Dr. Church also created “The Stress Project”, which teaches tapping to war veterans suffering with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The results are simply amazing – there was an average 63% decrease in PTSD symptoms after six rounds of tapping.

On the next NaturalNews Talk Hour, you’ll learn all about this revolutionary system for living a stress-free life. It’s not about avoiding stress; it’s really about releasing unhealthy emotions.

The biggest reason why unresolved emotional issues must be addressed

So often, a traumatic emotional event can severely alter our perception of the world and even stop us from finding true love and happiness. What could be more important than releasing negative feelings and being truly ‘in love’ with life? As if that wasn’t enough, holding on to negative emotions like guilt, anger or fear can cause serious health problems like, hypertension, chronic back pain and degenerative conditions like heart disease and cancer.

Typically speaking, these ignored negative emotions can drive a person to eat poorly, not care about their health and develop toxic relationships. But, just imagine for one moment, what life would be like without low self-esteem or anger issues? Our next show will help you get the most out of life.

Nicolas Ortner is CEO of The Tapping Solution, a company with a mission to bring simple, effective, natural healing into the mainstream through Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) or “tapping.” Tapping is a healing modality that combines ancient Chinese acupressure and modern psychology. Nick’s goal is to empower people to create healthy, financially abundant and stress-free lives through his educational products and presentations.

His NY Times bestselling book, “The Tapping Solution: A Revolutionary System for Stress-Free Living,” was published by Hay House in 2013. Prior to that, Nick created and produced the breakthrough documentary film, “The Tapping Solution,” which follows ten people who used tapping to overcome tremendous challenges, including 30 years of chronic back pain, fibromyalgia, insomnia, devastating grief and more. Nick’s book and film document real and extraordinary results that have inspired tens of thousands to follow suit by successfully applying tapping to their lives.

‘Live for today’! Sounds like a cliché, but being upset about the past or worried about the future will always prevent you from enjoying the present moment with family and friends. On the next NaturalNews Talk Hour, Jonathan Landsman and Nick Ortner talk about how EFT can help you release fears and enjoy life.

Having used EFT, I can say it works, Thanks for a very good article. This is one modality that should be front and center when you talk about emotional issues.
In fact you don’t need to have a noticeable issue to find this technique helpful.

EFT is overlooked and not understood by mental health providers. This is one of the best modalities for dealing with anger, fear and any negatives. It also is known to reduce food cravings, phobias, and emotional eating.

What is so good about this modality it works in a short time and you don’t have to keep talking about all past negative experiences. I have used it and so have others. The results are amazing. It is a shame that this isn’t tried before talk therapy.

Has anyone used EFT? I hear great things about it, but I don’t know anyone that has tried it.
