Safe Body Detoxification(NaturalHealth365) To increase your energy it’s important to consider the health of your thyroid and adrenal glands. Like the brake and the gas pedal in your car – you must make sure that both are working at their highest ability for optimal health. Do you know the signs of thyroid dysfunction and adrenal fatigue?

Millions of people have thyroid and adrenal problems and don’t even know it. A closer look at the thyroid reveals that this tiny little gland (located in the neck) is so powerful – it only needs to produce one teaspoon of thyroid hormone to drive the metabolic rate of every cell in your body. Thyroid disorders or adrenal fatigue can increase your risk for anxiety, depression, hair loss, heart disease, obesity plus much more.

On the next NaturalNews Talk Hour – we’ll reveal ten great ways to eliminate thyroid and adrenal problems – naturally. Learn about proper medical testing; herbs; supplements and lifestyle suggestions to help regain balance, strength and energy.

Rejuvenate yourself before it’s too late

Obviously, if you sleep more than 8 hours per day and still feel sluggish – lifestyle changes must be made to get the most out of life. A tired body and mind is not normal. Don’t settle for less than you deserve – here’s a simple, 4-step plan to reclaim your life:

1. Relax – chronic stress can drain the life right out of you. Do everything you can to change your perspective through breathing exercises; daily mediation; listen to inspirational music or read something that will lift your spirits. Simply put, try not to “sweat the small stuff”.

2. Exercise – but don’t overdo it. Sometimes all it takes is a 10 – 20 minute (easy) walk to elevate your mood and spark a whole new outlook on your life. Naturally, aerobic exercise is also good for your heart and will increase your metabolism. But, remember, take it easy and enjoy it!

3. Eat a healthy diet – because the right food helps you balance your hormones and reduce inflammation. Try to avoid refined carbohydrates; increase your intake of plant-based nutrients and boost your consumption of healthy fats rich in omega-3, such as, walnuts, chia seeds and flaxseeds.

4. Take nutritional supplements – especially when your body is in a depleted state. For example, 50 – 100 mcg of selenium; 10 – 15 mg of zinc and 2,000 – 4,000 IU’s of vitamin A may prove to be very helpful. In addition, many people will benefit from vitamin D3 or fish oil supplements. Just be careful about the quality of your source.

It almost goes without saying – when you have a serious (medical) condition – it’s best to work with a trusted, healthcare provider. Don’t overlook this important aspect of your overall natural healing strategy. My personal physician, Dr. Nicholas DiMartino has a wealth of experience in dealing with thyroid problems and adrenal fatigue. Will taking Armour thyroid compounded increase your need for it in the long term? Or can it be used as a short term med to help correct a sluggish thyroid in addition to life style, diet and supplement support changes? Is it different than using a drug like Synthroid?

what is the adrenal gland and what does it do.?

  • Craig Kavanaugh

The number one stressor on your adrenal glands is…caffeine. Sorry folks, but your coffee and chocolate (theobromide) need to be weaned and eliminated. And the number one stressor on your thyroid gland is fluoride. I hope and trust these critical points are strongly emphasized in tonight’s show. Be blessed and be healthy!

I have hypothyroidism & take 90 mg Armour Thyroid per day and still have no energy. If I force myself to do even 15 minutes of exercise or just going grocery shopping totally drains me and my muscles give out. I often wonder if I’ll ever feel normal again. What can I do?

The adrenal glands sit on top of the kidneys and are chiefly responsible for releasing hormones especially during stress events. Although they are relative small, they are very important organs. See the following website for further details. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adrenal_gland
Over three years ago, I started having weight gain, high blood pressure, nausea, dizziness, constant fatigue. I thought it was part of getting old. After spending over a year going from doctor to doctor, I finally demanded a CT scan. Turns out, I had a mass on my left adrenal gland which caused the symptoms described above. While most growths on the adrenal glands are benign and non-functional, the mass I had was cancerous and functioning. Needless to say, I had it removed by a very skilled surgeon at UPMC in Pittsburgh. Thankfully, he got it all. The point is, this mass on this little organ caused alot of problems which all doctors seemed to blame on other things. After the surgery, my blood pressure normalized, no more nausea, I lost about 100# and got my energy back. I take a variety of supplements and vitamins including Vitamin D (my Vitamin D level was all but non existent), selenium, Krill Oil, etc. You need to keep searching until you find what it right for you. And if you are sick, don’t let anyone (especially your doctor) tell you otherwise. I thank God everyday for life. Had I listened to my doctors who suggested I had Irritable Bowel Disease, I probably would not be alive today.
