The biggest lie about natural remedies exposed

Print Friendly

doctor-gag(NaturalHealth365) A small voice, inside your head, may be telling you that natural remedies are not effective – for your current health crisis. And, that’s understandable, when you consider the amount of people that believe pharmaceutical drugs are the ‘only way’ to treat chronic health problems like, allergies, arthritis or hypertension. But, here’s where it gets really dangerous – especially if you’re not feeling well.

The blunt truth about Western medicine. If your healthcare provider says ‘natural remedies are a waste of time’ – they are either lying to you or simply believe the propaganda put out by the pharmaceutical industry. On the next NaturalNews Talk Hour, Jonathan Landsman and Dr. Michael Murray will reveal lifesaving (scientifically-validated) information about the power of nutrition to heal the body. 7 ways to create optimal health – despite what your doctor says

1. Spirituality is key. Obviously, this means different things to each person. But, generally speaking, it’s a recognition that there is a force greater than ourselves – which connects us all and gives meaning (purpose) to our lives.

2. Develop a positive outlook on life. Don’t expect everything in life to be ‘perfect’ or stress-free. Simply put, optimism is essential – even in the face of difficult times. For an extreme example of this – read “Man’s Search for Meaning” by Viktor E. Frankl.

3. Focus on creating positive relationships. Let’s face it – we are social creatures and we really need each other. In fact, according to Dr. Michael Murry, ‘there is much scientific evidence that positive relationships can prevent disease and extend life.’

4. Practice healthy lifestyle habits. Fairly obvious, yet often overlooked by too many people. Avoid smoking, minimize alcohol consumption, get rest and effectively manage stress are all crucial to a life without chronic disease symptoms.

5. Get moving today. Unfortunately, the phrase “no pain, no gain” has turned away the vast majority of the population from exercising. Yet, it’s a normal part of who we are. Bottom line, physical exercise ought to be enjoyable and done on a regular basis. The rewards are worth the effort!

6. Eat a healthy diet. Today, more than ever, this is challenging – but not impossible. Make every effort to buy local, organically-raised food, herbs and spices. This is so important – for avoiding serious health problems – even if your doctor remains uneducated about the power of nutrition to heal the body.

7. Take high-quality nutritional supplements. Most conventional-trained physicians have no idea about the science behind this topic. Everyone is different – but, it’s safe to say, many people would benefit from improving their nutritional status through an effective supplementation program.

On the next NaturalNews Talk Hour, you’ll discover how to dramatically improve your health with nutrition – while, at the same time, reducing your exposure to toxic drugs and risky medical procedures.

When you’re sick: Think about healing (not drugging) the body

For example, when you have a cold – ask yourself these simple questions. Am I emotionally stressed out? Have I been sleeping poorly? Can I eat better? If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions … it’s time to think about some natural remedies that work!

On the next NaturalNews Talk Hour, Jonathan Landsman and Dr. Murray will talk the best ways to naturally detoxify the body, improve brain health, reduce the risk of bone loss and effectively (safely) deal with stress, anxiety and depression.

This week’s guest: Dr. Michael Murray, natural medicine and health expert

Discover the best ways to naturally heal the body – Sun. Nov. 29

Dr. Murray is one of the world’s leading authorities on natural medicine. He has published over 30 books featuring natural approaches to health. For the past thirty-five years, Dr. Murray has been compiling a massive database of original scientific studies from the medical literature. He has personally collected over 65,000 articles from the scientific literature, which provide strong evidence on the effectiveness of diet, vitamins, minerals, herbs, and other natural measures in the maintenance of health and the treatment of disease.

According to Dr. Murray, “one of the great myths about natural medicines is that they are not scientific. The fact of the matter is that for most common illnesses there is greater support in the medical literature for a natural approach than there is for drugs or surgery.”

Jonathan, I love it that you listed the most expansive and encompassing healthful practices FIRST. Too often, health discussions narrowly focus on material levels–thus inadvertently lending the impression that eating right and exercising routinely (etc.) comprise the primary basis for optimal health.

Yet, just as is implied with your list here, the very big and unfolding picture encompassed by spirituality IS the most powerful force or energy we can engage with for our health.

For the sake of comprehensive health impact, what then follows getting our spiritual houses in order, is fostering healthful attitudes through the right use of mind. Happily, cultivating life-enhancing attitudes and emotions can become an important component of the right use of mind, since emotions are energies primarily generated by our thoughts (according to researcher Candice Pert).

Material approaches, such as you have described in your last four items, thus can serve as foundations to support the upper level practices. Wouldn’t it be great if we all put your list into practice? The entire world would improve!

Jonathan, thank you for ALL your Sunday shows, including this one. I’ve really learned a lot from your interviews over the years! In fact, I now consider these shows to be a regular and much welcomed highlight to my week-end. Your enthusiastic engagement in promoting healthful living at all levels is making a big difference in the lives of many, and of that I am sure. Moreover, you’ve pursued your calling with integrity–which distinguishes you from many–and that is something I respect, appreciate and admire.
