    Most of the problems associated with sleep problems at night are due to blood sugar spikes as a result of eating too many carbs and not enough fats, along with eating late at night. All these are digestive issues. The foremost problem though is the LACK of HYDROCHLORIC ACID production or utilization and relate to parietal cell health. The lack of hydrochloric acid is a key factor in acid reflux and indigestion in general. If you do not have good HCL production and utilization, you will not digest your food, no matter how good it is.

    David Wolfe says the opposite to the info above. He says we should be lying flat ( with our legs slightly elevated with pillows) because if we elevate our heads with pillows etc, the blood struggles to reach the brain and the heart needs to pump harder to push the blood up. That makes more sense. Am confused.

    Jal, there is a difference between pressure and circulation. Lying flat with the feet up will increase brain pressure, but without the assistance of gravity there will be poor circulation.
