Government ‘health’ agencies refuse to acknowledge the dangers of low dose radiation – over the long term. The Endocrine Society, with 14,000 researchers in more than 100 countries, concluded that even very low levels of exposure cause endocrine or reproductive abnormalities.
Many epidemiological studies point to the fact that extremely low doses of radiation increase the incidence of childhood cancers, low birth weight for babies, premature births, infant mortality, birth defects and even diminished intelligence. And, you can be sure, you’ll never hear about this from the ‘dumbed down’ mainstream news outlets.
Low dose radiation causes massive damage
Scientist combined results from 12 post-2002 occupational studies showing that protracted radiation was 20 times more capable of increasing cancer rates than acute exposure. Protracted radiation is a low amount of radiation delivered over a relatively long period of time.
Epigenetic changes can be caused by unimaginably small doses, like parts per trillion, in the form of chemicals, air pollution, cigarette smoke or radiation. In addition, these epigenetic changes can occur within minutes after exposure and may be passed on to subsequent generations. Gee, don’t you think every physician ought to learn about this in medical school?
The dangers of low dose radiation from medical tests
If these low dose diagnostic breakthroughs take seconds to cause harm – imagine being hit multiple times in a lifetime. The statements about the safety of low radiation are not accurate even for adults. Radiation from a CT coronary scan is considered ‘low’. Yet, it statistically causes cancer in one of 270, 40-year old women, who are scanned.
Common, low-dose dental x-rays more than double the rate of thyroid cancer. Those exposed to repeated dental x-rays have an even higher risk of thyroid cancer. Naturally, conventional medicine says ‘no worry’ and everyone should go back to sleep.
However, when you do meta-analysis you realize the negative effects of low dose radiation are significant. Scientists have concluded, in the Cambridge Philosophical Society’s journal Biological Reviews, that even the very lowest levels of radiation are harmful to life. A wide-ranging analysis of 46 peer-reviewed studies – published over the past 40 years – found that variation in low-level, natural background radiation had a highly significant effect on DNA, as well as several other measures of health.
A shocking truth! The National Center for Environmental Health, a division of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), categorizes ionizing radiation – the same type emitted during mammograms – as an environmental hazard. Keep in mind, ionizing radiation triggers DNA damage, which causes cancer stem cells to proliferate. It causes mutations of the p53 suppressor gene also known as the “guardian angel gene” – which is responsible for suppressing tumors by thwarting genome mutations. Damage from radiation can amplify the effects of other carcinogens as well.
Don’t ignore these facts about radiation
One way that low levels of radiation destroy health is its ability to cause our cells to produce free radicals. Even the ‘experts’ at Columbia University say ‘the most dangerous mechanism of low level ionizing radiation is its ability to create free radicals’.
Let’s be perfectly clear, low level radiation – from diagnostic testing – will never stop cancer but it can damage your immune system. Keeping our immunity strong is the only way to avoid getting sick.
Thankfully, there are plenty of ways to reduce the threat of low dose radiation exposure. Maybe we can learn something from the Japanese. The official statement of the Japanese College of Intravenous Therapy (JCIT) says, “it is our strongest recommendations those living in the effected areas regularly take antioxidant supplements such as vitamin C to counteract the negative consequences of long term low dose radiation exposure as well as protect the health of coming generations.”
