Watermelon nutrition can help ED

Watermelon News(NaturalHealth365) Could watermelon nutrition replace the need for Viagra? The fact is erectile dysfunction is not caused by a deficiency of toxic medications that can put you at risk for a heart attack. By unblocking clogged arteries and improving overall circulation – men can prevent cardiovascular disease and improve their performance – at the same time.

Here’s a delicious remedy for ed – try eating watermelon and enjoy the many health benefits associated with eating organic, whole food nutrition.

A heartfelt reason to start eating watermelon

The concentration of lycopene in watermelon is higher than in any other fruit or vegetable. Lycopene, is better known as an antioxidant scavenger – which makes it essential for heart health. There are numerous reports, which show a dose relationship between lycopene levels and cardiovascular disease progression. In other words, less lycopene translates to more heart disease.

Watermelon also contains citrulline – a stimulator of nitric oxide, which relaxes and expands the blood vessels improving cardiovascular health by getting more nutrients and oxygen to the heart.

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is many times a sign of blocked blood vessels due to plague build up. As for ed, citrulline increases the blood flow by relaxing the blood vessels. Bhimu Patil, director of the fruits and vegetables lab at Texas A & M says the effect is similar to Viagra. He goes on to state watermelon consumption might even prevent ED.

Researchers tested men to see what citrulline would do for their love life. The results were published in the journal Urology and it stated, “L-Oral Citrulline Supplementation Improves Erection Hardness in Men with Mild Erectile Dysfunction.” The consumption of citrulline accounted for a 68 percent increase in monthly intercourse frequency.

Are you eating enough watermelon?

It is suggested you would have to eat three and a half servings of watermelon unless you consumed the yellow variety, which has 4 times as much citrulline in one serving (a wedge) or a sixteenth of a modest sized melon would do the trick.

One of the primary benefits of watermelon is it improves the function of the kidneys; watermelon has a long history of use for the prevention and treatment of kidney stones and urinary tract infections. It is widely known that watermelon is a mild diuretic that promotes urine flow.

According to Dr. Ariel Policano, a naturopathic physician, watermelon helps the liver process ammonia – a toxic nitrogen-containing waste product left over from amino acid metabolism and converts it into a molecule known as urea, a component of urine that is safely excreted from the body.

A natural way to detoxify the body and wake up your senses

A watermelon cleanse is simple to do. Simply consume either the juice alone separated from the pulp, or toss the melon and the pulp into the blender. Every part of the watermelon has a benefit including the flesh, rind and seeds.

If you juice the flesh and rind look for an organic watermelon. The rind contains a higher amount of minerals and counters the sweetness. And, remember, the rind is where you find more of the amino acid citrulline – the main ingredient for a Viagra-like effect.

When blended with the seeds you get the added bonus of fiber, and zinc. No matter how you use – get started as soon as possible and enjoy the benefits. If you’re feeling “bold” – maybe you would like to share your personal experience below.

Saw my doctor about my ED problem. He prescribed “Staxyn.” The pharmacy didn’t have it or know about it… had to be ordered in. Unfortunately it cost $114 for 12 pills (“Take one tablet once daily.” HaHa…)
Sometimes, it doesn’t pay to complain about your health, does it?
PS. Other than watermelon, there’s got to be something else that contains “citrulline.”

A lot of natural suppplements can be of benefit to ED such as tribulus and saw pallmentto but what works best of all is supplement your declining testosterone levels with bio identical testosterone / DHEA and Chryssin. this can be compounded all in one trouche. many doctors that do bio identicals for women will do this for men too. go to your local compounding pharmacy and they will be able to supply you with the names of doctors in your area that are able to do this for you.
