Vitamin c side effects prove lethal to big pharma

stop sign with pills(NaturalHealth365) To an industry that seeks profits by selling its own synthetics, the benefits of natural cures are not perceived as good news by the pharmaceutical industry.  However, the variety of healthy vitamin C side effects are now so clear that not even big pharma can suppress them.

Vitamin C is already known for its ability to help fight infections and support immune function; here are six more vitamin C side effects that will prove lethal to big pharma.

1. Heart disease patients could potentially no longer need prescription medications.

From overall coronary artery health to preventing cardiovascular disease plus an improved survival rate after a heart attack, a number of studies are demonstrating the efficacy of vitamin C in supporting better cardiovascular health.

We all know the dangers of oxidative stress which lead to cellular inflammation and chronic disease. The science on this topic is abundantly clear. Vitamin C shows consistent efficacy in protecting against this harmful chain reaction and assists in keeping blood pressure at healthy levels without the need for toxic drugs – which increase the risk of liver disease.

2. Cancer patients may not need as many drugs from their doctor because they feel so good.

Vitamin C is showing promise in reducing the harmful effects of chemotherapy and increasing its tumor-destroying capacity. It also helps to enhance the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects of other cancer-fighting substances, helping to prevent the onset and spread of cancer.

In fact, a 2005 Pharmazie study showed water-soluble antioxidants like vitamin C may improve anticancer activity of curcumin in cancer cells. In addition, Ronald Hunninghake, M.D., chief medical director of the Riordan Clinic has said:

“I.V. vitamin C was found to be very beneficial…it’s not considered a stand-alone therapy for cancer, but it’s a perfect adjunct to any kind of therapy that the cancer patient is receiving at this time. It will reduce side effects and improve quality of life. There have actually been two major studies now showing how it improves quality of life.”

3. Reduce the dependency on conventional medicine for unhealthy lifestyle decisions.

For example, smokers who take vitamin C regularly experienced less vitamin E depletion – often caused by smoking – versus smokers who did not take vitamin C. It’s a known fact that smoking depletes the body of vitamin C and increases the risk of cardiovascular disease and many forms of cancer.

It also reduces damage to DNA caused by smoking, reducing the inflammatory changes that often follow DNA damage. In addition, vitamin C has been shown to improve the overall health of coronary arteries – reducing the need for plaque to form inside arterial walls.

4. Eliminate the financial burden of diabetes.

A 2008 study demonstrated that Vitamin C helps in reducing glucose levels in persons who are diabetic; other key blood values in diabetics seem to benefit as well.

According to Julian Whitaker, M.D., founder and director of the Whitaker Wellness Institute:

”Vitamin C’s ability to lower levels of sorbitol, a sugar alcohol that can collect in the cells and damage the eyes, kidneys, and nerves. This, plus its ability to put the brakes on free radicals, makes vitamin C an important weapon in the arsenal against diabetes complications.”

5. Cut out the need for drugs and reduce the symptoms associated with asthma or other respiratory conditions.

Vitamin C is known to help reduce instances of the common cold and shorten its duration; however, newer studies indicate the antioxidant effects of Vitamin C can help with more serious respiratory issues such as asthma.

Robert F. Cathcart, M.D. – who has successfully treated over 20,000 patients with very large doses of vitamin C – once said:

”Asthma is most often relieved by bowel tolerance doses of ascorbate. A child regularly having asthmatic attacks following exercise is usually relieved of these attacks by large doses of ascorbate. So far all of my patients having asthmatic attacks associated with the onset of viral diseases have been ameliorated by this treatment.”

In addition, before you contribute to the profits of big pharma – you should read this article about how “High vitamin C dosage outperforms antibiotics”.

6. Help yourself to avoid ulcers and gastritis – without drugs.

Vitamin C has been shown to play a role in protecting against oxidative damage in the stomach that can otherwise lead to stomach issues like ulcers and gastritis. Higher C levels are also associated with a lowered risk for stomach cancer.

Naturally, with so many vitamin C side effects, big pharma is looking over its shoulder.  Honestly, vitamin C is something you should be taking anyway, but these health “side effects” only increase the reasons to make it a part of your daily regimen.

Keep in mind, the recommended dietary allowance for vitamin C is 75 to 90 mg per day – not even enough to sustain a rat. Scientific data clearly suggests that much larger doses — from 500 mg. to several thousand mg. (per day) may be required to enjoy optimal health benefits.

This was fabulous. I wish you would do this for each of the supplements. I’d even purchase a copy if all of these were put together in an Ebook or a hard copy book. It would make it so easy to show clients or doctors who know nothing about vitamins. For now I will just store it.

This is the best vitamin C article that I have ever read. Why this isn’t front page news is beyond me. The only possible reason, is the one that is implied in this article; it will cut into pharmaceutical profits.

According to a report in Circulation: Journal of the American Heart Association low levels of vitamin C is linked to a severe form of peripheral artery disease. The only way to get this kind of information is to research it yourself or read an article like this one.

Vitamin C was tested on autistic children and it was found to improve cognitive function and bonding. This should not come as a surprise since most disorders come about for many reasons and one of them is nutrient deficiencies.
