Discover 4 POWERFUL plant compounds that relieve bloating and improve digestion

relieve-bloating(NaturalHealth365) Bloating is one of the most common complaints of people suffering from gastrointestinal disorders such as irritable bowel, constipation, and even indigestion.  It can cause an uncomfortable feeling of being bloated, and some people may experience a visible distention of the abdomen.

Recent research has found four plant compounds that can help relieve the discomfort of bloating, indigestion, and other gastrointestinal issues.  These plant combinations help with gas, pain, and abdominal distension while promoting healthier, more effective digestion.

Science goes back to nature for better digestion and bloating relief

After years of promoting medications for indigestion, heartburn, bloating, and digestive issues, science has returned to nature to find a remedy that works with the body to help relieve these troublesome digestive ailments.  Artichoke leaf, curcumin, fennel seed oil, and ginger root each address bloating as well as specific associated symptoms.  When the four plant compounds are taken together, they can relieve digestive discomfort or eliminate it altogether.

Combining ginger and artichoke helps make digestion more efficient and effective, while a fennel and ginger blend eases pain and relieves gas.

But wait! What is bloating, anyway?

Bloating occurs when gas is trapped in the abdomen.  This can cause abdominal pain, pressure, and an uncomfortable feeling of being excessively full.  The effects can range from mild to severe and can impact a person’s ability to function normally.

This condition is prevalent and can have various causes, from food intolerance to illness to functional constipation.  There are several prescription medications on the market that are designed to specifically address bloating.  Still, these remedies are often not very effective and require daily doses to prevent or even just curb the conditions.

Science has identified four plant compounds that can relieve bloating quickly and safely while improving digestive health.

The combination of THESE two compounds helps improve digestion

Artichoke and ginger have both long been used to treat gastrointestinal issues – and with much success.  However, research finds that combining the two results in a powerful treatment for bloating and other related issues.

One clinical trial enlisted 126 patients with functional dyspepsia (indigestion with no known cause and recurring).  They were divided into two groups.  One group received an artichoke-ginger supplement, and the other group received a placebo.

The supplement consisted of 20 mg of ginger root extract and 100 mg of artichoke leaf extract.  At the end of two weeks, nearly 45% of the participants who were given the supplement reported significant improvement in their digestive issues.  Of the placebo group, only 13% reported any improvement.

At the end of four weeks, 63% of the participants receiving the supplement reported substantial improvement, while the group taking the placebo only saw 24.6% of its participants improve.

Artichoke is used in many cultures as a digestive aid.  It stimulates the liver to produce bile, an important component of the digestive process.  Bile helps to absorb vitamins that are fat-soluble and break down fats in the body.  It also accelerates digestion.

These two natural compounds work in synchrony to relieve gas and abdominal pain

Fennel and curcumin have been used for centuries as digestive aid.  They are both staples of naturopathic households.  Fennel is well known as an effective treatment for flatulence and digestion, while curcumin is well known for its anti-inflammatory properties.

The combination has tested well in several studies for gastric relief and as a digestive aid.  One clinical trial tested the substance to see if it is a viable treatment for symptoms related to irritable bowel syndrome.

The study included 121 patients who had irritable bowel syndrome and ranged in age from 18 to 60.  They were split into two groups.  One group was given the fennel-curcumin supplement, consisting of 25 mg fennel seed oil and 42 mg curcumin, while the other was given a placebo.

At the end of 30 days, the group taking the supplement reported a 50% decrease in abdominal pain, bloating, and other related symptoms.  The placebo group reported a 26% decrease in symptoms.

At the end of the study, nearly 26% of the participants reported being completely symptom-free, while only 6.8% in the placebo group reported the same.

What’s the bottom line?  While bloating can be a troubling sign of poor digestion, thanks to plant kingdom’s intelligence, you have powerful natural remedies available to you.  Combine these four plant compounds to help you get your digestion on track while easing many related symptoms.
