Could spraying children with disinfectant be the new normal?

(NaturalHealth365) Although the COVID-19 pandemic doesn’t appear to be over yet, many places have effectively “flattened the curve.”  And some states have already started to reopen in phases, although most recognize that life won’t return to normal anytime soon. Perhaps one of the big questions on the minds of parents across the nation is this: When can my kids get back to school?  And, will spraying our children with a disinfectant be the new “norm?”

Many parents have learned that they’re not cut out to be teachers, and even kids long to be back at school with friends. But the debate surrounding the reopening of schools is intense. When should kids go back to school? How should schools operate now to reduce the risk of infection? Is there a second wave of COVID-19 cases coming down the road?

As the UK debates this topic, The Mirror reported that teachers are suggesting that students be sprayed with disinfectant before entering school. After all, enforcing social distancing rules among kids is tough.  And, while the idea of spraying kids with disinfectant may sound far out, it’s already being used by schools in countries like South Korea and China.

That’s right, kids are being sprayed front and back using disinfectant before they’re allowed inside school gates each day.  Can you believe this?!

“Approved” by the EPA: Should we be concerned about spraying our kids with a disinfectant anyway?

With countries already implementing the use of disinfectant on children as they head back to school, is it possible this will become the new normal? Should we be worried? Surely they’ll only spray our children with disinfectant sprays containing chemicals approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).  That should be a comfort, right?

Think again!  These are the same people who gave their seal of approval to the weed killer glyphosate, the active ingredient in Roundup, Monsanto’s widely used herbicide. Through the past decade, we’ve become more aware of how dangerous that chemical is.

“Safe” chemicals that are really quite dangerous

Studies show exposure to glyphosate increase cancer risk by a staggering 41 percent, despite both the European Food Safety Authority and U. S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) saying it’s “not likely” to cause cancer in humans.

Glyphosate has also been linked to other serious health problems, including:

  • Liver disease
  • Chronic kidney disease
  • Heart disease
  • Gluten sensitivity
  • Unfavorable birth outcomes
  • Negative effects on critical gut bacteria

There’s got to be a better way

Research has already established that we can’t trust chemicals approved as “safe” by the EPA. Before we start lining up our children to have them sprayed with disinfectants containing a cocktail of potentially dangerous chemicals, we need to explore other options.

For example, why don’t we ensure that families are given guidelines for healthy eating and smart supplementation?

Teach families how to choose foods packed with nutrients that boost overall health. Let’s educate parents on healthy supplements proven to improve immune health, so kids have the healthy immune systems they need to fight off viruses like COVID-19.

Perhaps it’s time to clean up the cafeteria and eliminate processed foods packed with sugar and chemicals in exchange for healthy meals that give kids helpful vitamins and minerals.  It’s such a reasonable idea.

But, I guess some “health experts” just think it makes more sense to dump a bunch of toxins on our kids every day before school to keep them healthy.
